Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws following OSHA and CLIA standards
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory departments
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure proper specimen labeling and chain-of-custody protocols
- Provide exceptional patient care and comfort during procedures
- Operate centrifuges and automated testing equipment
- Participate in quality assurance and infection control measures
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No phlebotomy experience necessary (training provided)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (will be provided during training)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Compassionate communication skills with diverse patient populations
- Must be available for weekday training (8am-4pm)
