Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA guidelines
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Ensure equipment sterilization and inventory management
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare team on sample processing
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and infection control
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in EHR systems
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends
- Attention to detail and precision in specimen handling
- Valid driver's license for mobile phlebotomy (if applicable)
