Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection procedures following strict safety protocols
- Process and transport specimens to laboratory facilities with proper documentation
- Maintain accurate patient records and electronic health documentation
- Ensure all equipment is sterilized and calibrated according to regulatory standards
- Provide exceptional patient care while minimizing discomfort during procedures
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient flow and efficiency
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASPT or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in a hospital or laboratory setting
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques for diverse patient populations
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA compliance
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment
