Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages.
- Verify patient identity and prepare collection tubes according to protocols.
- Label, process, and transport specimens to the laboratory accurately.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and OSHA safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and answer patient questions with empathy.
- Assist with inventory management of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Kentucky state licensure or permit.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Proven experience with blood collection techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict medical protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
