Responsibilities
- Perform routine venipunctures and capillary blood draws using the latest equipment provided by the facility.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during the blood collection process.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety regulations.
- Accurately label, process, and transport specimens to the laboratory in a timely manner.
- Manage patient records and paperwork with high attention to detail.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to facilitate efficient patient flow.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
