Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws accurately and efficiently.
- Verify patient identity and explain procedures to ensure comfort and compliance.
- Properly label, log, and prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Assist with patient intake, vitals, and basic administrative tasks.
- Collaborate with nurses and physicians to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centric approach.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift patients or equipment as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (for travel assignments).
