Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks based on specific dietary requirements.
- Provide medication reminders and monitor clients for any changes in health or behavior.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, social events, and recreational activities.
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including laundry and light cleaning, to maintain a safe environment.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation.
- Document daily activities and care logs accurately in our electronic health records system.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to help others.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Physical stamina to perform caregiving tasks and assist with transfers safely.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
