As a Quantum AI Research Lead, you'll lead a multidisciplinary team of physicists, computer scientists, and engineers. You'll design next-generation quantum neural networks, optimize quantum machine learning algorithms, and publish groundbreaking research that will define the next decade of technological advancement. Our state-of-the-art facility includes a 1000-qubit quantum processor and dedicated AI supercomputing cluster.
Responsibilities
- Lead research initiatives in quantum machine learning and quantum neural networks
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for AI optimization and pattern recognition
- Collaborate with hardware teams to develop quantum-AI hybrid computing systems
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at top-tier conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of scientific excellence
- Secure federal and private research funding for quantum-AI projects
- Develop ethical frameworks for quantum AI deployment and governance
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, AI, or Computational Physics (post-doc preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development or machine learning research
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow)
- Published research in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum/AI conferences
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Experience leading cross-disciplinary research teams and managing research budgets
- Strong background in computational complexity theory and quantum information theory
