Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum processor architectures with fault-tolerance capabilities
- Develop quantum error correction codes for 1000+ qubit systems
- Lead implementation of hybrid quantum-classical computing workflows
- Collaborate with material scientists to optimize qubit coherence times
- Define quantum security protocols for post-quantum cryptography
- Create performance benchmarks for quantum advantage applications
- Mentor quantum engineering teams in advanced algorithm development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years experience in quantum computing architecture or superconducting systems
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum error correction
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of optimizing quantum gate fidelities above 99.9%
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation strategies
- Experience securing government/military quantum computing contracts
