Responsibilities
- Architect scalable quantum computing systems with error correction capabilities for 2026 deployment targets
- Develop hybrid quantum algorithms for optimization problems in finance, logistics, and AI
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Design quantum-safe cryptographic protocols for enterprise applications
- Publish 2+ peer-reviewed papers annually in top-tier journals
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 5+ years industry experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, LDPC, color codes)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and superconducting qubits
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum annealing
- Proven ability to secure government research funding (NSF/DARPA preferred)
