Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography and optimization problems
- Design and execute experiments on 100+ qubit quantum processors
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure $5M+ in government and private research grants
- Mentor a team of 5-7 quantum computing researchers
- Develop quantum-safe protocols for enterprise clients
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm implementation
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM, AWS, Azure)
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Track record of securing research funding
- Patents or publications in quantum information science
