Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for optimization problems in logistics and pharmaceuticals
- Design fault-tolerant quantum circuits for NISQ-era hardware constraints
- Publish top-tier research in Nature/Science journals with 2026 commercialization targets
- Mentor cross-functional teams of physicists and software engineers
- Secure $1M+ in DARPA/NSF grants for quantum AI initiatives
- Partner with AWS/Google Quantum AI on hybrid cloud quantum platforms
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics/Computer Science with 5+ years industry R&D
- Published work in quantum error correction or variational algorithms
- Expertise in Qiskit/Cirq with 50+ GitHub quantum projects
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems (IBM/Rigetti)
- Track record of commercializing quantum solutions (patents preferred)
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and GPU acceleration
- Security clearance eligibility for DoE quantum projects
