Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for practical applications in cryptography, optimization, and AI
- Design and execute experiments on 50+ qubit quantum processors
- Mentor PhD-level researchers and publish top-tier papers in Nature/Science journals
- Collaborate with industry partners to implement quantum solutions in finance and healthcare
- Drive roadmap for quantum error correction and fault-tolerant systems
- Secure $2M+ in annual research funding from NSF and DARPA
- Present breakthrough findings at international quantum conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with quantum gate model programming
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum frameworks
- Proven track record of leading cross-disciplinary research teams
- Experience securing government grants for quantum research
- Deep understanding of quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ion)
- Strong background in high-performance computing and parallel processing
