Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for complex optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants from government and private entities
- Develop error-correction frameworks for practical quantum applications
- Drive commercialization of quantum technologies through industry partnerships
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish 5+ high-impact papers annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record of securing research funding
- Published work in Nature/Science journals or equivalent
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems and hardware integration
