Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography and optimization applications
- Oversee 20+ person research team in cutting-edge quantum hardware integration
- Develop patentable quantum solutions targeting 2026 commercial deployment
- Collaborate with MIT/Stanford partners on quantum supremacy initiatives
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D funding through federal and industry grants
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Quantum conferences
- Architect hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum error correction
- Expertise in superconducting qubit architectures and cryogenic systems
- Proven track record of securing DOE/NIST quantum research grants
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and quantum circuit optimization tools
- Experience managing cross-disciplinary teams of 15+ researchers
- Deep knowledge of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant roadmap
