Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography optimization and molecular simulation
- Design and implement quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Manage cross-functional research teams of 8-12 quantum physicists and software engineers
- Secure $2M+ annual research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Develop patentable quantum computing innovations with commercial applications
- Collaborate with MIT and Caltech on next-generation quantum hardware
- Present breakthrough findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature conferences
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum circuit optimization frameworks
- Experience managing quantum computing budgets exceeding $1M annually
- Deep knowledge of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
