Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for 2026-era applications in cryptography and AI
- Manage cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and data scientists
- Design fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures for industrial-scale deployment
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and partnerships with national labs
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in top quantum computing journals
- Develop quantum-resistant security protocols for enterprise clients
- Mentor junior researchers and establish quantum computing curricula
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum algorithm development with published research
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Proven track record leading quantum research projects with measurable outcomes
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience securing DoD or NSF quantum research funding
- Strong background in topological quantum computing or quantum machine learning
