Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm design for cryptography optimization and molecular simulation
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge theoretical models with physical qubit implementations
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $5M+ in NSF/DARPA quantum computing grants annually
- Drive quantum machine learning frameworks for real-world applications
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics with 3+ years of quantum research
- Published work in top-tier quantum computing journals (e.g., Quantum Information & Computation)
- Expertise in Qiskit/Cirq with demonstrated quantum circuit optimization
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum simulation frameworks (Q#, Quil)
- Experience with quantum hardware interfaces (IBM Quantum, Rigetti)
- Strong background in quantum error correction and topological qubits
- Track record of securing government/industry research funding
