Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptographic applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using IBM/Google quantum processors
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks for real-world deployment
- Author peer-reviewed publications and whitepapers on quantum-resistant protocols
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with DARPA and NSF on next-gen quantum defense initiatives
- Secure patents for novel quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Published research in Nature/Science/Physical Review journals
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or quantum assembly languages
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion trap quantum processors
- Demonstrated expertise in quantum error correction techniques
- Security clearance eligibility (or willingness to obtain)
- Portfolio of 3+ open-source quantum computing projects
