Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead research initiatives in quantum error correction and hardware-software co-design
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype quantum applications in finance, logistics, and materials science
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and drive cross-functional innovation sprints
- Secure and manage research grants from government and private sector partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computational Mathematics (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development using Qiskit, Cirq, or similar frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of publishing high-impact research in quantum computing
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum simulation environments
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical applications
- Experience securing government research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA) preferred
