Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols using our 128-qubit quantum processor network
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quantum solutions into classical computing frameworks
- Publish high-impact research in leading quantum computing journals and conferences
- Secure and manage quantum research grants from federal agencies and private foundations
- Mentor junior researchers and develop quantum computing educational programs
- Stay current with emerging quantum hardware architectures and error correction techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related quantum-adjacent field
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Strong background in quantum information theory and quantum error correction
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion quantum systems
- Proven ability to translate complex quantum concepts into practical applications
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
