Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for NISQ-era processors
- Lead cross-functional teams in quantum error mitigation research
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for industrial applications
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patent novel quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum programming (Qiskit/Cirq)
- Partner with hardware teams to optimize quantum circuit architectures
- Secure $2M+ in government/industry research grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Published research in quantum information theory
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum mechanics
- Experience with cloud quantum platforms (IBM Quantum, Azure Quantum)
- Demonstrated grant-writing success
