Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum hardware prototypes at 10mK temperatures
- Collaborate with AI teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid computing pipelines
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and contribute to open-source quantum frameworks
- Mentor junior researchers and secure $2M+ annual DARPA grants
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum specialization
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with superconducting qubits or ion-trap systems
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, etc.)
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence and error mitigation techniques
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
