Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems in logistics and materials science
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 100+ qubit systems
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybridize quantum-classical machine learning pipelines
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and contribute to open-source quantum frameworks
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry breakthrough)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion traps
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of topological quantum computing models
- Strong background in complex mathematical optimization techniques
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into experimental prototypes
- Experience securing government research funding
