Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Lead prototyping sessions with cryogenic quantum processors at our state-of-the-art lab
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA partners on classified quantum security initiatives
- Publish findings in Nature Physics and present at IEEE Quantum Week conferences
- Mentor PhD candidates through our Quantum Fellowship program
- Develop patentable quantum error correction methodologies
- Contribute to 2026 quantum roadmap planning with C-suite stakeholders
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (post-doc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with IBM Quantum Experience or Rigetti Forest
- Published research in quantum algorithm design or hardware optimization
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, and Python with NumPy/Pandas
- Security clearance eligibility for government collaborative projects
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Track record of translating theoretical models into experimental results
- Demonstrated ability to secure DARPA or NSF funding
