Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to develop error-corrected qubit systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy protocols in superconducting platforms
- Publish peer-reviewed research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world enterprise solutions
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional AI/ML integration teams
- Secure $2M+ in DARPA/NSF grant funding for quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of quantum research
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing conferences (QIP, IEEE Quantum)
- Experience with superconducting or photonic quantum hardware systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in machine learning and high-performance computing
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government contract work
