Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop error-correction techniques to advance quantum coherence beyond 1000-qubit systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum hardware-software interfaces
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and present at global quantum conferences
- Drive commercialization of quantum solutions for finance, healthcare, and logistics sectors
- Mentor junior researchers and establish new quantum computing methodologies
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit) and quantum circuit design
- Published record in quantum error correction or topological quantum computing
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks and NISQ-era limitations
- Proven ability to translate theoretical quantum concepts into practical implementations
- Experience securing federal research grants (DARPA, NSF) preferred
- Strong background in high-performance computing and distributed systems
