Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for cryptography optimization and machine learning acceleration
- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype quantum error correction protocols
- Develop novel quantum simulation frameworks for drug discovery and materials science
- Author peer-reviewed publications and present findings at international conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants from NSF and DARPA
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Optimize quantum circuit architectures for hybrid classical-quantum systems
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published record in Nature/Science or equivalent tier journals
- Proficiency with quantum annealing and superconducting qubit technologies
- Experience securing federal research grants (NSF, DOE, DARPA)
- Deep understanding of quantum entanglement and decoherence mitigation
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex probability theory
- Proven ability to lead high-stakes research projects to completion
