Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop novel error-correction techniques for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Lead experimental validation of quantum protocols using superconducting qubits
- Collaborate with hardware teams to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
- Publish high-impact research in leading journals and present at international conferences
- Secure external funding through NSF and DOE grants
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and quantum information
- Publication record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Experience with superconducting or trapped-ion qubit systems
- Demonstrated ability to secure research grants
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
