Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Develop advanced error-correction techniques to enhance quantum decoherence mitigation
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum gate operations on superconducting qubits
- Lead research initiatives focused on achieving quantum advantage in real-world scenarios
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international quantum conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum education initiatives
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grant proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Deep expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of publishing in quantum computing research
- Strong mathematical foundation in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped ion platforms
- Ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical quantum implementations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
