Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum computing architectures and error correction protocols
- Lead quantum machine learning projects integrating classical and quantum paradigms
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors and control systems
- Publish breakthrough research in top-tier journals and conferences
- Secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants from government and industry
- Mentor junior researchers and quantum engineering interns
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong publication record in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel programming
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding
- Experience with quantum hardware integration (superconducting, trapped ions, photonic)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
