Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant computing
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-generation quantum processors
- Lead research initiatives in quantum cryptography and secure communication systems
- Publish breakthrough findings in Nature/Science and present at premier quantum conferences
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through strategic partnerships
- Mentor a diverse team of 5-7 quantum researchers and interns
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics with 3+ years of quantum research
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quil) and circuit optimization
- Published record in quantum computing or related fields in top-tier journals
- Proficiency in high-performance computing and parallel processing architectures
- Demonstrated experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Strong background in machine learning and classical/quantum hybrid systems
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams
