Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional R&D teams to develop quantum software solutions compatible with next-generation hardware
- Contribute to peer-reviewed publications and present breakthrough findings at premier international conferences
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum error correction protocols
- Develop quantum machine learning models for predictive analytics and autonomous systems
- mentor junior researchers and contribute to quantum computing curriculum development
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of quantum research experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing environments
- Demonstrated experience with quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Ability to secure DOE/NIST/NSF research funding preferred
