Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for real-world applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum supremacy claims using 100+ qubit systems
- Collaborate with AI teams to develop hybrid quantum-classical machine learning frameworks
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage $5M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor junior researchers and develop quantum computing curriculum for universities
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum hardware (IBM Q, Rigetti, or D-Wave)
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and computational complexity
- Track record of securing research funding from NSF or DARPA
- Experience mentoring graduate students or postdoctoral researchers
