Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and cryptography applications
- Develop novel quantum error correction protocols to enhance qubit stability
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to bridge theoretical models with physical quantum systems
- Lead cross-functional teams in translating research into commercially viable quantum applications
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Secure and manage research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private sector partners
- Mentor junior researchers and drive quantum literacy initiatives within the organization
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of postdoctoral research
- Proven expertise in quantum algorithm development and quantum circuit optimization
- Publication record in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#) and simulation tools
- Demonstrated experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion platforms
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Exceptional problem-solving skills for NP-hard computational challenges
- Ability to secure and manage multi-million dollar research grants
