Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware teams to validate quantum processor performance and error mitigation strategies
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant computing systems
- Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to cross-functional project roadmaps
- Secure grant funding through NSF and DARPA proposals aligned with 2026 quantum computing milestones
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of industry experience
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and high-performance computing environments
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum hardware design
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes and decoherence mitigation
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion quantum processors
