Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for near-term applications
- Lead research on quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prototype quantum hardware interfaces
- Publish peer-reviewed research and present findings at international conferences
- Mentor junior researchers and contribute to patent development
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability theory, and complexity theory
- Publication record in quantum computing or related fields
- Experience with high-performance computing environments and parallel programming
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
