Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Develop error correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to improve qubit coherence times
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals
- Lead quantum security initiatives for critical infrastructure projects
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum theory and experimental physics
- Partner with AI teams to develop quantum-classical hybrid frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing research experience
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published work in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Expertise in superconducting or ion-trap quantum systems
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures
- Clearance for government-sponsored research projects (preferred)
