Responsibilities
- Develop novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning applications
- Design and execute quantum circuit simulations using Qiskit, Cirq, and custom frameworks
- Lead experimental validation of quantum systems on IBM Quantum Experience and Rigetti
- Author peer-reviewed publications and patents for breakthrough quantum methodologies
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure $5M+ in research grants through NSF and DoD partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science with 3+ years research experience
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and quantum programming frameworks
- Published work in Nature/Science or top-tier quantum computing conferences
- Experience with superconducting qubits or photonic quantum systems
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical models into practical implementations
