Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead cross-functional research projects using IBM Quantum, Rigetti, and D-Wave systems
- Publish peer-reviewed papers in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant computing
- Translate theoretical research into practical quantum software solutions
- Present findings at international conferences and industry summits
- Secure federal grants and corporate partnerships for quantum research initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum circuit design and optimization techniques
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and statistical mechanics
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and high-performance computing frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to secure research funding through NSF or DoE grants
