Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for NISQ-era processors
- Develop fault-tolerant quantum error correction methodologies
- Lead cross-disciplinary projects in quantum machine learning
- Optimize quantum circuits for real-world industrial applications
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top quantum computing journals
- Collaborate with hardware teams to bridge theory-practice gaps
- Mentor junior researchers and quantum engineering interns
- Secure external funding through NSF and DoD quantum initiatives
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or Quantum Information Science
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum supremacy
- Deep understanding of quantum decoherence mitigation techniques
- Experience with quantum hardware calibration protocols
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Track record of translating theoretical models into practical implementations
