Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize quantum algorithms for complex computational problems using Qiskit and Cirq frameworks
- Design error-correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation at scale
- Lead hardware-software integration projects with superconducting and photonic quantum processors
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to hybridize quantum-classical computing workflows
- Publish research in Nature Physics and IEEE Quantum journals with 3+ annual publications
- Mentor junior researchers and manage quantum computing infrastructure operations
- Secure $2M+ in annual research grants through NSF and DoD partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years of industry research experience
- Published 10+ peer-reviewed papers on quantum algorithms or error correction
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Quil, or OpenQASM)
- Proficiency with quantum simulation tools (Qiskit Aer, Cirq Simulator)
- Strong background in linear algebra, complex analysis, and statistical mechanics
- Experience securing government or corporate research grants
- Proven ability to lead cross-disciplinary technical teams in fast-paced environments
