Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Lead experiments on superconducting and photonic quantum computing platforms
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Collaborate with hardware teams to improve qubit coherence times and gate fidelities
- Secure research grants and publish findings in Nature/Science journals
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and drive cross-functional innovation
- Translate quantum solutions into commercial applications with enterprise partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Published research in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and quantum mechanics
- Experience with quantum simulation tools (QASM, Quil, TensorFlow Quantum)
- Proven track record of securing competitive research grants
- Strong ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
