Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping quantum-resistant encryption protocols
- Develop error-correction techniques for quantum processors operating at 99.9% fidelity
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Secure $2M+ in government/private quantum computing grants
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design next-gen quantum processors
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent research experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published record in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Strong background in linear algebra and complex analysis
- Experience with superconducting qubit systems or trapped-ion platforms
- Track record of securing government research grants
