Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, simulation, and machine learning applications
- Lead research in quantum error correction and qubit coherence enhancement
- Collaborate with hardware teams to integrate quantum-classical hybrid systems
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop quantum security protocols for post-quantum cryptography standards
- Mentor PhD researchers and drive open-source quantum framework initiatives
- Secure $5M+ in quantum computing grants from DARPA and NSF
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (postdocs preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum computing experience with 50+ qubit systems
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum information theory
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Proficiency with quantum simulators (QASM, Quil) and hardware platforms
- Strong background in linear algebra, group theory, and complex analysis
