Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization, cryptography, and machine learning
- Conduct experimental research on quantum hardware platforms including superconducting qubits and trapped ions
- Develop error mitigation techniques to advance quantum coherence and stability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate quantum solutions into real-world applications
- Publish findings in leading scientific journals and present at international conferences
- Secure research grants and partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 3+ years of research experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#) and simulation frameworks
- Proven track record of peer-reviewed publications in quantum computing or quantum information theory
- Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, probability, and complex analysis
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (IBM Quantum, Rigetti, or IonQ)
- Demonstrated ability to secure competitive research funding (NSF, DARPA, or corporate grants)
- Proficiency in high-performance computing environments and parallel programming
