Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and machine learning applications
- Lead experimental validation of quantum error correction protocols on superconducting qubit systems
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical frameworks for real-world problem-solving
- Publish groundbreaking research in top-tier journals and conference proceedings
- Mentor junior researchers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Secure external funding through NSF, DoE, and industry partnerships
- Contribute to quantum security standards for post-quantum cryptography
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics, Computer Science, or related field with quantum focus
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum algorithms or quantum error correction
- Expertise in quantum hardware architectures (superconducting, trapped ions, or photonic)
- Strong background in high-performance computing and parallel processing
- Experience with machine learning frameworks for quantum data analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and non-technical audiences
- US citizenship or permanent residency required for government project access
