Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation challenges
- Lead quantum error mitigation protocols for fault-tolerant computing systems
- Collaborate with hardware teams to co-design quantum processors with 100+ qubits
- Publish high-impact research in Nature/Science journals and IEEE journals
- Secure $2M+ in government and industry research grants
- Mentor PhD candidates and junior researchers in quantum computing
- Develop IP portfolios with 5+ patents annually
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or quantum machine learning
- Proficiency with quantum circuit optimization techniques
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
- Experience with cloud quantum computing platforms (IBM Quantum, AWS Braket)
