Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization problems
- Conduct quantum simulations and error mitigation experiments
- Analyze quantum hardware performance and propose architectural improvements
- Lead cross-functional teams on quantum application development
- Secure external funding through NSF and DARPA grants
- Present research findings at international quantum computing symposiums
- Contribute to open-source quantum computing frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 3+ years of quantum algorithm development experience
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Strong background in linear algebra, probability, and information theory
- Experience with quantum hardware platforms (e.g., IBM Q, Rigetti)
- Track record of securing research funding or patents
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
