Responsibilities
- Design and implement novel quantum algorithms for cryptography and optimization
- Lead experimental quantum hardware testing and error-correction protocols
- Publish peer-reviewed research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science)
- Collaborate with AI teams to hybridize quantum-classical systems
- Secure $5M+ in NSF/DARPA research grants annually
- Present findings at global quantum summits (Q2C, IEEE)
- Mentor PhD candidates in quantum information theory
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (postdoc preferred)
- 3+ years hands-on experience with quantum simulators (Qiskit, Cirq)
- Published research in quantum error correction or topological qubits
- Proficiency in Python/C++ with quantum libraries
- Demonstrated grant-writing success for federal funding
- Experience with cryogenic quantum systems or photonic processors
- Strong background in linear algebra and quantum information theory
